How resilient is your nervous system?

TAKE OUR QUIZ TO FIND OUT.

Stress is managed by our nervous system. The more our nervous system is under stress, the more symptoms we experience—physical, emotional, and psychological.

Over time, our symptoms and stress become self-reinforcing, leading to chronic nervous system dysregulation. Symptoms become “chronic” when they persist for more than 3 months.

If left unmanaged, chronic nervous system dysregulation leads to poorer well-being outcomes and can even lead to conditions such as persistent pain, depression and anxiety, sleep disorders, and more.

So how do you break the stress-symptom cycle to regain control over your well-being? First, you need to know a little bit more about your nervous system.

WHAT IS THE NERVOUS SYSTEM?

Your nervous system is responsible for sending signals throughout your body, maintaining balance by toggling between fight or flight and rest and digest states. An imbalanced nervous system skewed towards fight or flight can lead to long-term negative effects on well-being, such as anxiety, sleep disturbances, and digestion issues.

Using wearable technology and measuring Heart Rate Variability (HRV), we can assess your nervous system's stress response and provide tailored recommendations to reduce stress and enhance overall well-being!

UNDERSTANDING THE BIOPSYCHOSOCIAL MODEL

The BioPsychoSocial (BPS) model understands health from a holistic perspective. This means that it considers multiple factors (biological, psychological, and social) as well as their complex interactions in understanding your health. In order to effectively manage these conditions, each factor of your health has to be addressed individually and in tandem with the other factors.

Taken together, your nervous system and the BioPsychoSocial model provide objective and subjective information on how to make effective and lasting improvements to your health and well-being.

HOW TO USE THIS QUIZ

This quiz is not a diagnostic test. It uses subjective reporting—your answers!—to indicate the likelihood that you are experiencing some degree of nervous system dysregulation.

For each statement that sounds like something you experience relatively often, tick the box. At the end of the quiz, you’ll get a score. In general, the more signs you experience, the more likely you are experiencing some degree of nervous system dysregulation.

If you’re noticing more than a few of the below, even if it doesn’t feel like a “big deal,” consider consulting a healthcare professional.
